Mimicry uses live motion capture technology initiated at the LGG lab of the EPFL and Faceshift AG.Faceshift is an accurate, effortless, and affordable markerless facial performance capture. It uses depth cameras such as Microsoft’s Kinect to animate rigs in real time and works seamlessly for fast facial expressions, head motions, and difficult environments.Inside the frames in the installation are hidden depth sensors connected to Unity 3D and controlled by Faceshift Studio Software.
